Global Reach Rooted in U.S. Leadership

GCS Fiber’s primary mission is to support the United States in addressing its coal ash legacy, strengthening domestic manufacturing, and building resilient, secure supply chains. From that foundation, we are also positioned to help U.S. allies and strategic partners deploy similar coal ash–to–mineral fiber solutions in their own regions.

Our international focus is not about exporting jobs—it is about exporting U.S. technology, standards, and environmental leadership, while maintaining core research, engineering, and high-value manufacturing capabilities in the United States.

Partner Regions and Priority Markets

As we scale our platform, GCS is exploring or advancing opportunities in the following markets, with the United States serving as the global headquarters and technical hub:

  • United States – Primary deployment focus, R&D and engineering center, and anchor for global supply chain development.

  • Belgium, Germany, Poland, South Korea – U.S. allies with strong industrial bases, advanced regulatory frameworks, and shared commitments to decarbonization and circular-economy solutions.

  • Mexico – A key partner in the North American manufacturing ecosystem, supporting integrated supply chains under USMCA and providing regional resilience for critical materials.

  • Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, India – Emerging and rapidly industrializing economies facing growing coal ash and industrial byproduct challenges, and seeking technology partnerships that also deliver jobs, skills, and environmental benefits.

In each of these markets, our intent is to complement U.S. economic interests, open new export avenues for American-made systems and components, and align with broader U.S. foreign policy objectives around economic strength, energy transition, and industrial cooperation.

Supporting Allies Through Technology and Standards

By deploying GCS technology in allied and partner countries, the United States can:

  • Advance shared economic and environmental goals through coal ash remediation and emissions reduction.

  • Strengthen transatlantic and Indo-Pacific industrial alliances by creating compatible standards and interoperable supply chains for mineral fibers and advanced materials.

  • Enhance collective resilience by reducing dependence on unstable or adversarial suppliers for key industrial inputs.

  • Provide a model of responsible, transparent, and community-minded industrial practice that reflects U.S. values and regulatory expectations.

GCS facilities abroad are envisioned as partnership platforms, not simply export projects: they create opportunities for U.S. engineering, equipment exports, project finance, and long-term service relationships that reinforce American leadership in clean industrial technology.

Working With Emerging Economies in a Way That Benefits the U.S.

In emerging markets such as Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, and India, coal ash and industrial waste challenges are expanding at the same time that energy demand and industrialization are accelerating. GCS is prepared to work with U.S. agencies, multilateral institutions, and local partners to:

  • Deploy U.S.-origin technology that helps these countries address coal ash safely and permanently.

  • Create new markets for U.S.-manufactured equipment, engineering services, and technical expertise.

  • Support workforce development and skills transfer that reinforce positive, long-term relationships with the United States.

  • Demonstrate that American innovation can deliver practical, scalable environmental solutions in real-world conditions.

This approach aligns GCS’s international work with U.S. objectives in development finance, climate diplomacy, and strategic economic engagement.

Safeguarding U.S. Technological Leadership

Across all current and emerging markets, GCS will:

  • Maintain core intellectual property, R&D, and advanced engineering functions in the United States.

  • Prioritize U.S.-based manufacturing for high-value components and systems, using international projects to expand demand for American goods and services.

  • Structure technology-sharing arrangements to protect U.S. know-how while enabling effective, compliant operation abroad.

  • Comply with all U.S. export controls, trade regulations, and national security policies.

In this way, GCS’s international footprint enhances America’s economic strength, technological leadership, and ability to support allies, while keeping U.S. workers, U.S. facilities, and U.S. communities at the center of the value chain.
