Our Mission

To lead the next generation of American mineral fiber manufacturing by transforming domestic coal ash waste into high-value industrial materials - driving U.S. advanced manufacturing and production, strengthening U.S. supply chains, and securing America’s competitive advantage.

Our Vision

To provide the global mineral fiber and pulp industries with innovative, safe, affordable, and environmentally responsible solutions through cutting edge U.S. manufacturing processes, while creating durable, high-quality jobs that revitalize American communities and reduce U.S. reliance on foreign mineral imports.

Coal Ash Landfill

A National Solution to a National Challenge

Across the United States, more than 1.5 billion tons of coal ash sit in landfills and ponds—representing one of the nation’s largest unmanaged industrial by-products. Until now, the country has lacked a comprehensive, economically viable, and environmentally responsible solution.

GCS Fibers is taking the lead in solving this National Challenge through the deployment of our Coal-Ash-to-Mineral-Fiber conversion technology—developed over a 12-year R&D program—which presents a transformational opportunity for U.S. manufacturing expansion, supply-chain security, with the additional benefit of national environmental coal ash management.

This is not merely a recycling technology; it is an industrial repurposing platform that converts any form of coal ash—fly ash, bottom ash, boiler slag, wet or dry—into six high-purity mineral fibers used in:

·       Carbon-fiber precursor materials for aerospace and defense

·       Thermal and acoustic insulation

·       Paper and packaging

·       Automotive friction materials (brake pads)

·       Textiles and industrial fabrics

·       Rubber and plastic reinforcement

Each facility can convert up to one million of tons of coal ash annually, while creating up to 500 direct U.S. manufacturing jobs and supporting thousands of indirect jobs in transportation, construction, engineering, and downstream manufacturing.

Strengthening U.S. Manufacturing & Reducing Foreign Dependence

Many of the mineral fibers used in U.S. industry today are imported—particularly from Asia—creating vulnerabilities in supply chains that support:

  • Defense manufacturing

  • Automotive production

  • Electrical and thermal insulation

  • Critical infrastructure

  • Aerospace composites

  • Packaging and consumer goods

GCS Fibers provides a domestic alternative, helping restore American industrial independence by producing high-quality mineral fibers at home. By converting U.S. coal ash into domestic raw materials, the nation can:

  • Reduce reliance on foreign mineral fiber imports

  • Expand U.S. manufacturing capacity

  • Strengthen economic resilience

  • Support reshoring efforts across multiple sectors

  • Improve readiness for defense and homeland security applications

This technology directly supports the Administration’s goals for domestic manufacturing revitalization and resilient U.S. supply chains.

Environmental Stewardship & National Security

GCS Fibers’ operations not only generate valuable industrial materials—they also remove, neutralize, and repurpose coal ash.

Additionally, our affiliate company, Eco Green Solutions, provides an emissions-capture technology capable of removing up to 96% of CO₂, NOx, SO₂, and mercury from coal-fired plant emissions. When paired with GCS Fibers’ operations, the combined system provides:

  • Near-zero emissions manufacturing

  • A pathway for coal plants to meet stricter environmental regulations

  • A pathway for a sustainable, strategically valuable, clean energy source

  • A national strategy for large-scale ash pond remediation

  • A reduction in environmental liabilities for utilities and taxpayers

This makes GCS Fibers an invaluable partner for national environmental protection, disaster-risk mitigation, and long-term energy resilience.

Economic Benefits & Community Revitalization

Each GCS Fibers facility acts as an economic engine for the surrounding region:

Direct & Indirect Job Creation

  • Up to 500 direct jobs per factory

  • Thousands of indirect jobs in transportation, engineering, construction, and downstream manufacturing

  • Skilled positions in automation, chemistry, materials science, quality control, and advanced manufacturing

Utility & Community Cost Relief

  • Utilities regain formerly unusable land as ash ponds and landfills are remediated

  • Cleanup costs decline as ash becomes a feedstock—not a liability

  • Savings can ultimately reduce ratepayer burdens

American Industrial Growth

  • An entirely new domestic supply chain for mineral fibers

  • Lower dependence on timber harvesting, reducing deforestation

  • Lower raw material prices for U.S. manufacturers

  • A boost in U.S. exports of advanced mineral fiber products

  • Increase in skilled U.S. manufacturing jobs at GCS Fibers’ plants

A Technology Positioned for National Impact

The United States stands at a pivotal moment—balancing economic recovery, industrial modernization, and reducing environmental risk. GCS Fibers is positioned to support all three through:

  • Large-scale waste remediation

  • Job creation at industrial levels

  • Advanced materials manufacturing

  • Supply-chain fortification

  • Community redevelopment

GCS Fibers believes the nation is on the verge of a new industrial renaissance, powered by American innovation and supported by technologies that convert legacy liabilities into long-term economic strength.

With federal support, this project can serve as a national model—turning coal ash into American jobs, American manufacturing capacity, and American environmental leadership.
